Handicap Registration and Dues

What is the Handicap system?

Blue Mash provides golfers in the state of Maryland the service to have an official USGA handicap. Handicaps are used by tournament committees to even the playing field for the non-scratch golfer. The active scoring season for Maryland is from March 15 through November 15. Scores can be posted online at msga.org, or in our pro shop.

What are the fees?

Blue Mash charges $35 for the handicap service which expires at the end of the calendar year. Click Here to Pay your registration fee at our online store.  Qualifying members are able to pay $20 for the service.

How do I sign up?

You may renew, transfer, or sign up for a new handicap by completing the form on the right. If you are creating a handicap for the first time, we will email you a temporary username and password. Please check your spam folder if you do not see an email from Blue Mash. If you have any questions, please call us in the golf shop at 301-670-1966.  After you complete registration, please click here to pay at our online store.

How do I post scores?

To access your account or post scores, simply log on to msga.org. Scroll down the page and click “Post Scores Online” which is located on the right hand side of the page. Enter your username and password to access your account. You may also post scores in the pro shop, just see a staff member for assistance.
